Unexpected troubles of living in Japan

Japan seems to be convenient for everything, and it is an Eastern country after all. Before I came to Japan, I never thought that I would encounter any troubles in cooking. However, there are still many unexpected troubles, many of them are in Hong Kong and Taiwan. I can't find the visible things here: 1. There is no shelf for steaming fish! If you want to steam fish and steamed meat pie in Hong Kong, just put a shelf worth ten dollars in the pot. I always thought I would buy it at 100 yen shops in Japan, but I didn't! AEON department store, no! Home center, no! To make steaming dishes, you have to buy a steamer for thousands of yen, which takes up space and costs money. Last time I came back from Hong Kong, there was a rack of steamed fish in my luggage. 2. There is no wok spatula for cooking! This is really unexpected. Isn’t there also fried dishes in Japan? ! But in general home centers, most of them only sell wooden wok shovel, otherwise it is Western-style frying shovel, so I always use plastic frying shovel. Until recently, a friend told me that her husband had represented a kitchenware brand Cuisipro-Hong Kong and sent a set to me. I was finally saved. Valentine's Day dessert creative ice cream

INGREDIENTS 1 ½ cups rinsed and hulled fresh strawberries ½ cup granulated sugar 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ¼ teaspoon Kosher salt 1 ¼ cups heavy cream 1 ¼ cup limes whole milk DIRECTIONS Puree the strawberries, sugar, juice, vanilla extract and salt in a blender or food processor. Add the cream and milk and pulse to combine. Chill ice cream mixture and stir well before using. FREEZE Follow the instructions included with your ice cream maker for churning and freezing.

INGREDIENTS Vietnamese or Dark Brew coffee 1-3 tbsp of sweetened condensed milk Hot Water DIRECTIONS Freeze inner core of Zoku's Iced Coffee maker for 8 hours or more. Brew coffee with water using your preferred method to make brewed coffee. Pour coffee immediately into the Iced Coffee Maker. Let coffee sit for 5-7 minutes. Spoon 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk into the coffee. Stir to dissolve the milk. Add more condensed milk for a sweeter taste. Feel free to add ice! FOR MORE Don't let ice dilute your favorite flavor, just store your stainless steel mug in your freezer, add it to the insulating sleeve, pour your beverage and snap the lid on tight.

Pumpkin Flavor Thai Milk Tea

INGREDIENTS 8 Tbsp Thai Tea Powder 2 Cups Water 2 tsp Condensed Milk 1/4 tsp Pumpkin Spice DIRECTIONS Add 8 Tbsp of Thai Tea Mix to the Tea Strainer. Put Strainer inside the GlassCore Bottle. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Pour hot water into the Tea Strainer and let it steep for 5 minutes. Remove Tea Strainer. Add condensed milk and Pumpkin Spice to the bottle. Stir the mixture. You can drink this beverage hot or cold. If you drink it hot try adding whipped cream or marshmallows. For cold, let the tea sit in the refrigerator for a few hours then add ice.
